Trends in education
Khan Academy
I take you through the history of Khan Academy and how it became such of an integral part of educational technology today through this narrated presentation. I also include a brief description of what it is, why it is such a useful tool for both teachers and students, as well as show you how it looks on both the teacher's and the student's end. I depict the pros and cons of implementing Khan Academy in the classroom, and share some of the new tools that are coming soon (Fall of 2020).

Web 2.0 tool
Epic! For Educators
Are students only reading while they are at school? Looking for ways to assess students while they are reading their independent books? Looking for ways to empower students to choose their own books? Want to assign a struggling learner a book at their level without breaking their hearts? Instructional Toolbox for teachers
Action Research Plan
Insanity can be thought of doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result, which is much like the way some teachers approach their instruction. In an effort to end this frustrating cycle, the goal of this action research plan is to use technology to create a toolbox of instructional strategies that teachers can build upon and use at any time. Doing this will provide them an opportunity to approach instructional planning with a purpose, feel empowered, and gain a deeper understanding to the individual student/learner needs. This will hopefully result in students working at high standards with increased frequency, and teachers feeling efficacious.
Technology Space Proposal
A Mock Presentation
A mock presentation for a fictional elementary school, Sawyer Elementary, who is wanting have a dedicated technology space that is state-of-the-art, includes flexible seating, a SMARTboard, and possible video production area. This fictional school uses Chromebooks on carts but is wanting to have desktop computers with larger screens, full keyboards, and direct access to printers. The video includes my proposed answer to their requests by creating an Innovation Lab on the second floor of their building.
