Professional Experience

MARQUARDT DISTRICT 15
08/18 - Present
K-8 Instructional Support
Focusing on the needs of our district, I have worked with Kindergarten through Eighth Grade teachers during weekly team collaborations. I provide professional learning, implement the continuous improvement model, assist teams in writing SMART Goals and Action Plans, as well as assisting them in being a collaborative team. I work with administrators and district leadership to help provide the support that teachers - and ultimately students - need.

MARQUARDT
DISTRICT 15
07/16 - 08/18
Math Curriculum Specialist
Working with the district Math Lead's, I was responsible for facilitating and managing two math pilot programs at the elementary and two at the middle school. I created timelines for follow-through, gathered continuous data points from all stakeholders, and consistently communicated on the progression. I also continued to support the staff who were not piloting the different programs and made sure that everyone was receiving the proper instruction and materials. I also worked with New Teacher Center to help guide and manage four new instructional coaches and over 40 new teachers. After successfully completing the math pilot, I worked on professional development and gathering the resources necessary for implementation while also beginning a new science pilot for the elementary.

MARQUARDT MIDDLE SCHOOL
08/06 - 06/16
7th and 8th Grade Math, Social Studies, and ELA Teacher
I originally started as an 8th Grade Math, Algebra and Social Science teacher. At the time we looped with students so when they graduated I moved to a "three-man team" and took on 7th Grade Math, Pre-Algebra, and ELA. At that time looping ended and I stayed as a 7th grade teacher until 2016. Seventh grade is where my heart lays. While teaching I created hands-on activities and lessons to enhance students' conceptual understanding. I created leveled assessments for students to grow upon and took on a multitude of leadership opportunities for both my school and for the district.
